COLE SMITH, Vice President of Property Management

Cole Smith brings with him proven leadership, integrity and problem solving ability. His responsiveness and positive attitude are at the heart of his success in property management. Having worked closely with owners and tenants, Cole has the ability to understand both sides and works creatively to exceed their needs.

Cole has a broad range of experience ranging through all aspects of property management. He has an established track record of protecting the interest of owners through contract negotiations, value engineering, competitive bid selection, and budget management. Through his past management experience, Cole understands a variety of property types including office, warehouse, retail, hotel, apartments and common areas for owners associations. His work in construction supervision has allowed Cole the opportunity to transition several new-built sites to ongoing property management. In this capacity he has successfully coordinated with contractors and building engineers to seamlessly establish all building systems for the benefit of new tenants. Cole’s ongoing work with contaminated brownfield sites has given him a unique perspective and understanding of how to unlock value in distressed assets. His past successes include; identifying and receiving alternative sources of capital for remediation, properly managing the asset to qualify for public incentives, and leading teams of consultants, scientists, and engineers to protect the interest of and maximize the underlying value back to the owner.

Cole is a graduate of the University of Denver’s Master of Real Estate and Construction Management program and has a Bachelor of Science degree from Utah State University where he dual majored in Finance and Economics and minored in International Business. Currently, Cole serves on the Young Leaders Group committee for ULI Colorado.
